Meet Joe

My name is Joe (Joseph) Jernigan. I'm a warehouse manager by occupation, trucker by trade and an active member of the Libertarian Party. I sit on the Charleston County Libertarian Party Committee. Born and raised middle-class, I'm a lifelong resident of the Tri-County area, with deep roots in Charleston. I have first hand experience in the issues we face daily. I have been led to this moment by a strong, lifelong interest in and passion for uplifting "We, The People!" Now, as a husband and soon-to-be father, my resolve to achieve this is stronger than ever.

I've attended leadership programs from an early age, been recognized for academic achievement by former President Obama, studied abroad, engaged in political activism, done volunteer work, and invested in local charities. These are some of the work and accomplishments I'm most proud of.

For the last 10 years I have developed a passion for learning about our government, economy, and those of other countries. I believe that I've gained the knowledge, wisdom, and most importantly, the compassion to successfully improve the quality of life, for all South Carolinians.

I am an open-book, "straight to the point" kind of guy who knows how to identify a problem and understand the means to SOLVE it. Now, I am humbly running for the SC State House to bring SERVANT leadership to the people of District 111. Help send me to Columbia and I will fight to empower YOU!
